On the 9th of December 2010 in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus, a system SMS4Parking ™ was successfully put into operation.

PSC, a member PAKOM GROUP, in association with leading IT companies in Cyprus CYTA and ALM Telecom services, adjusted its system SMS4Parking ™ in a short period of time to fit the strict EU rules in the field of regulation of stationary traffic, and also the complex regulation of the capital of Cyprus in the field of management and commercial exploitation of public parking spaces.


SMS4Parking ™, a solution completely developed in Serbia, will operate for the first time in Cyprus and the EU as a unique and fully integrated Parking Management System, which will be used for sale and the administration of all types of parking tickets (SMS, prepaid, skretch, parkomats, tenants, privileged ...), control of parking charges and sales through mobile PDA devices (which is conducted by municipal police), and the administration in the management of all parking services in the city.

PAKOM's Cypriot partners and the city government expects that the introduction of the system SMS4Parking ™ achieves multiple benefits, and above all, significantly increasing the efficiency of management and operation of parking services.

Nicosia citizens have an option to pay for parking services in an easy and simple way, with the additional benefits that will be provided with the latest parking tariff system and the introduction of a large number of preferred parking tickets.

Introduction of the system SMS4Parking ™ in all other towns in Cyprus is planned to be complete before the beginning of a new tourist season, which will effectively manage SMS4Parking ™ with over 10,000 parking spaces, which uses almost 500,000 cars.
